What Does the following transabdominal And Transvaginal Ultrasound Indicate? 

Hello my name is Rhonda and i had an tranabdominal and transvaginal ultrasound did recently. The results showed that my left ovary measures 1.7, 2.5, and 2.8 cm. The left ovary contains a subcentimeter follicle and has a small amount of free fluid. so would i need surgery.

Based on what was reported, it is not likely that you would need surgery.

Follicles are formed as part of the normal menstrual cycle. They are formed as part of the process of menstruation.

If you remain concerned then your doctor can repeat the ultrasound in a few weeks to months to see if there are any changes. This can be done sooner if there is any increase in your discomfort.
